Introduzione:
Per questo contest ho deciso di buildare un team capace di cavarsela contro tutti i tipi di team senza dover ricorrere a un drago spam o a qualche altra cosa virtualmente incounterabile, giocando più sulla difensiva che sull'offensiva, e soprattutto usando uno dei miei preferiti. L'ho provato poco tempo ma posso assicurare che è funzionale, ha risposte pronte a quasi a tutti i pokemon, ve ne accorgerete provandolo o leggendo la threath list. La strategia del team è logorare il team avversario con le hazard, finendo il lavoro con la star del team, Latias, con un set rimasto un pò all'oscuro in Bw. Ho tentato di discostarmi da quei playstile che non richiedono particolari abilità per essere giocati, costruendo un team sinergico che va al di là di 6 sweeper random o di abuser dei meteo.
Building phase:
Sono partito da Latias, uno dei miei pokemon preferiti.
Il set di Latias andava supportato con le Hazard, quindi ho cercato un pokemon che settasse le Stealth Rock e che fosse allo stesso tempo molto sinergico con Latias. La prima scelta che mi è venuta in mente è Heatran, che può lui stesso sfruttare le Hazard.
A questo punto, dovevo scegliere uno Spiker: di utili non ce ne sono moltissimi, soprattutto per un team difensivo, dunque la scelta è ricaduta su Skarmory, oltre a Spikare e a essere in buona sinergia col resto rimane uno dei migliori Phisical wall del gioco. Con lui finisce la mia catena di Phazers.
Ora mi serviva uno spinner, anche qua, di spinner utili con Recover ce ne sono ben pochi, e ho dovuto scegliere per forza di cose Starmie, che mi aiuta anche grazie alla sua Trait Natural Cure, che mi permette di avere un decente status assorber, visto che questo team non poteva permettersi un cleric.
A questo punto ho notato una debolezza Electric di troppo, e mi mancavano degli switch-in più solidi verso alcuni Pokemon, cosi ho scelto Gastrodon, che oltre a essere sinergicamente perfetto in coppia con Skarmory mi da entrate sicure sulle Stab dell'ormai comunissimo Rotom-W.
Infine, ho inserito Jirachi, per coprirmi principalmente da quei pokemon come Reuniclus e Alakazam che essendo immuni alle Hazard mi avrebbero causato grossi problemi, oltre al fatto che è l'unico pokemon in grado di resistere a tutti quei pokemon con Psychock e Focus Blast. Si rivela utile anche come counter di Latios e Gengar, oltre che decente Bait-Killer degli Steel-Types.

Heatran è il mio fake Lead della Team Preview, che cambio quasi sempre. Ho scelto lui come Stealth Rocker perchè avendo moltissime resistenze ha spesso buone entrate durante una battle, e puo sfruttare momenti di vantaggio per settarle. Lava Plume è la Stab di Heatran, preferita a Fire Blast per la percentuale di burn maggiore, che mi permette di inibire qualche Tyranitar o Terrakion incauto. Roar è per Phazare alcuni booster come Volcarona, o Nasty plot Celebi, oltre al fatto che aiuta a logorare il team avversario con le Entry Hazard. Toxic serve per danneggiare soprattutto tutti quei bulky water come Rotom-W, Politoed, Jellicent, Gastrodon, che altrimenti potrebbero creare qualche problema. La spread sfrutta le resistenze di Heatran rendendolo uno dei migliori Special Wall del gioco.

Il set è prettamente standard. Le Spikes aiutano a logorare lentamente il team avversario, Brave Bird è la solita Stab che colpisce bene i Fighting-Types, Whirlwind per phazare i booster, e Roost come recovery. L'unica particolarità è Rocky Helmet, strumento estremamente utile per nerfare i Volturn nemici (i volturn sono solitamente composti da Scizor, Landorus e Rotom-W, in particolare lo strumento è utile per fermare i primi due). Oltre a ciò si rende utile per counterare draghi come Dragonite o Haxorus (soprattutto Haxorus, infatti può fermare anche le versioni con Taunt a suon di Brave Bird e Rocky Helmet).

Versione leggermente diversa del solito Gastrodon. Earthquake è preferita a Earthpower per varie ragioni, che nonostante abbia un inferiore attacco e il possibile boost di Storm Drain, si rivela molto piu utile nel counterare alcune threath. In primis, essere mixed non fa mai male: in secondo luogo permette di fare piu danni a Tyranitar, Heatran, CmJirachi. Ice beam la preferisco sia per l'ottima coverage che mi da assieme a Earthquake, sia perchè mi serve per shottare Landorus, Gliscor, e spesso fare male ai draghi. Toxic è sempre per danneggiare i bulky water nello switch-in, ma anche qualsiasi altra cosa che possa rompere le scatole; Recover, d'altronde, per avere maggiore staying power. Siccome Gastrodon mi serve per counterare cose fisiche solitamente, ho preferito farlo con la difesa maxata al posto della difesa speciale. Tenete a mente inoltre che con questa spread ferma la temibile core di Rotom-W, di cui blocca le Stab, Scizor, che con U-turn fa meno del 50%, e Landorus, che ha solo il 10% di 2koare Gastrodon con le Stealth Rock in campo e la trait Sand Force attivata.

Pokemon unico nel suo genere, essendo uno dei migliori Special Wall grazie all'abilità di tankare gli Psyshock e i Focus blast, cosa che lo contraddistingue da tutti gli altri. Aggiungiamo buone stat, Trait divina che aiuta nel suo lavoro sporco a suon di hax, movepool immenso e non avrete piu motivo per non inserirlo in squadra. Questo set in particolare mira a counterare Latios, Reuniclus Troomer e Cminder, Gengar, Alakazam. Iron Head è la Stab che in coppia con Body Slam è capace di dare all'avversario il 15% di possibilità di muoversi. Fire punch è per qualche Scizor, o altri steel, infatti ho evsato questo Jirachi in modo che possa revenge killare qualsiasi Scizor, persino un ipotetico Jolly Sdancer. Wish è la sua recovery, utile anche per dare degli switch-in piu sicuri ai teammate.

La sua funzione è prevalentemente di spinnare via le hazard. La spread punta ad avere il massimo della bulkyness con 248 Evs agli Hp, il resto è andato alla Velocità e all'Attacco Speciale. La speed permette di superare tutti i base 110 e anche Tornadus. Le Evs allo Satk non sono a caso, mi servono per avere il 60% di possibilità di avere il 2ko su Gengar con Scald. Scald inoltre è qua solo per la percentuale di burn del 30%, che si rivela utile nell'1vs1 contro Ferrothorn, Skarmory, Jirachi, e altri. Reflect type mi serve per evitare di essere pursuittato per esempio, in generale di vincere contro Scizor e Tyranitar, ma aiuta anche contro Ferrothorn. Mando Starmie solitamente contro qualsiasi bulky water apparte Rotom-W, per vedere di capire che set ha e agire di conseguenza. La sua trait inoltre aiuta ancor di più a fronteggiare gli stall, essendo il mio status assorber

La star del team
Nonostante sia partito da lui nella fase di building il suo set è quello che ho rivisto più e più volte. Il set iniziale aveva Reflect type al posto di Calm mind, ma spesso Latias diventava un filler, così, ho inserito Calm mind per renderlo un cleaner migliore. Tra le varie versioni ho provato anche Refresh, Substitute, Wish. La spread massimizza la bulkyness e la velocità, per renderlo sia un cleaner decente che un buon tank, Roar aiuta sia in coppia con le Hazard sia mandando via qualche booster. Solitamente entra in campo quando i suoi counter sono già stati distrutti dalle spikes per finire il suo lavoro

Dragonite: Nulla puo dirsi al sicuro da questo pike. il mio switch-in fisso è Skarmory che può phazarlo senza problemi(se full hp) e anche grazie alle sr può rendere la vita difficile a dnite. Non scordiamoci che ho comunque altri 2 steel, e Latias può koare cbnite dopo i danni delle sr. Per i set sotto rain di Dragonite (Surf, Hurricane, Thunder, ect) solitamente Gastrodon o Jirachi sono switch-in decenti soprattutto Gastrodon che avendo anche ibeam puo shottare senza problemi Dragonite.
Ferrothorn: Heatran è uno sure counter, ho anche lo spinner quindi le sue spikes non mi toccano più di tanto. Non può fare nulla a Skarmory, che può settare le proprie Spikes, alla lunga perde l'1vs1 contro Starmie grazie a Reflect type e il burn di Scald.
Heatran: Starmie, Gastrodon, Latias sono tutti buoni switch-in. Solitamente preferisco Starmie per la possibilità che setti le Sr o che mi possa burnare/toxicare. In generale non avendo recovery muore dai danni delle spikes :x
Landorus: il mio switch-in piu solido è Skarm che nerfa le versioni scarf con U-turn. Altre versioni che possono dare fastidio sono quella con Smack down, ma solitamente gli Smack downer non hanno U-turn, quindi a quel punto Latias diventa un altro buon check (tralasciando le versioni Ebelt..). Latias e Starmie inoltre lo superano e gli fanno abbastanza male :x Ah si mi ero scordato anche Gastrodon è un ottimo check, Landorus con Sand force attivata ha qualcosa come il 15% di possibilità di fare 2ko con le sr, mentre ibeam lo shotta :P
Gliscor: Skarmory lo walla e lo usa come setupbait. Alcuni Gliscor hanno Taunt però, quindi a quel punto mando Gastrodon/Starmie/Latias a intimidirlo.
Rotom-W: Gastrodon lo blocca, certo Rotom ha Trick e Will-o-wisp, ma anche trickato o burnato Gastrodon walla sempre Rotom. Latias resiste alle sue stab inoltre, e posso toxicarlo in predict con Gastrodon e Heatran.
Scizor: Essendo il pike piu forte in Ou ci sono andato giù pesante con questo team. Scizor ha principalmente due set, Cb e Sword dancer. Il Cbzor è stoppato al 100% da Skarmory, che con Rocky Helmet gli infligge 17% a colpo ( :P ) Heatran teme solo Superpower in predict, Gastrodon si prende meno del 50% da u-turn, idem Jirachi che ha pure Fire punch, senza contare che non può pursuittare/u-turnare Starmie grazie a Reflect type. Lo Sword dancer invece potrebbe causare magari qualche problema in più a Skarm e Heatran con Superpower ma non scordiamoci che Jirachi ha Fire punch e sorpassa qualsiasi Scizor :P
Terrakion: mmm quando dicevo che Scizor era il pike piu forte in Ou mi ero scordato di Terrakion. :/ Passiamo ai "semi-check" di Terrakion . Principalmente ha 3 set, Il Double Booster, il Cb e lo Scarf. Dunque, il Double Booster generalmente non farà Rock polish ma Sword dance, per la presenza di Skarm,che se ha ancora buona parte degli hp puo phazarlo, e se non ci riesce a quel punto Starmie o Latias possono fargli male dopo il drop di Close Combat. Per il Choice Band dipende tutto dalle predict, anche se ho due pokemon che resistono a lotta e due a roccia, che una volta dentro possono tutti far male a Terrakion (se l'avversario non switcha, chiaro). Per lo Scarf stesso discorso del Cb, solo che si rivela molto piu facile da contenere. (so che non è molto ma non è che si possa fare molto di meglio contro Terrakion, che tra i vari Gimmick come Babiry Berry e Rock Gem ride in faccia ai suoi check)
Volcarona: Heatran walla le Stab e lo phaza facendogli prendere i danni delle sr di nuovo... e se ha hp ground, allora non ha rest e la chesto il che lo rende suscettibile ancor di piu alle hazard.
Breloom: Counter di Breloom oltre a Gliscor e Xatu non credo ce ne siano... Credo di dovermi far sporare qualcuno e poi mandare Latias, e anche Skarm credo possa fare qualcosa.
Salamence: Meno male che usano molto più Dragonite che è semi-wallato da Skarmory.. questo team come qualsiasi team che non abbia Porygon-2 credo possa fare poco contro il mixed con Fire blast DD Eq e Outrage.. Dunque Latias lo supera prima delle danze, Gastrodon dovrebbe resistere a un Outrage per poi usare ice beam (Outrage orbed da naive Salamence fa al massimo 99% a Gastrodon) e a quel punto posso provare a fare qualcosa con gli steel che ho nel team.
Reuniclus: Ho sempre odiato questo Pokemon per la sua capacità di distruggere lo stall :x In questo team però siccome ho Latias che stoppa tutti i Cminder e Jirachi che stoppa tutti i Troomer (e anche qualche Cminder magari) non ho nulla da temere :P
Jirachi: difficile dirlo, dipende dal set. Heatran ha buone possibilità di switch-in sui set simili al mio, cosi come Gastrodon, idem Skarmory (apparte quelli sotto rain che hanno Thunder) Starmie può usare Reflect type e prendere danni decenti da Body slam e Iron head, poi esistono tutti i gimmick come Drain punch e Energy ball, quindi devo ricorrere a piu pokemon, ma questo è dovuto al fatto che ha un movepool troppo ampio per essere counterato con un solo pike :x
Celebi: Latias prende bene tutte le mosse standard di Celebi (Giga Drain, Hp fire, Psichic, Earthpower) stessa cosa per Heatran tranne epower.
Haxorus: "check di Haxorus"... Ovviamente mando sempre Skarmory che con Rocky Elmet ha buone probabilità di vincere l'1vs1... Se trovo lo Sword dancer con Taunt, mm mando Latias in revenge killing.
Lucario: Forse uno dei pike che ha più possibilità di aprirmi, Skarmory sopravvive a stento a un Close combat+2 orbed, anche se dopo il drop diventa molto più suscettibile a Brave bird, Starmie può fare qualcosa con Scald, anche se cè da dire che non ha grandi occasioni per setuppare contro questo team.
Latios: Jirachi lo batte in tutte le salse, Heatran teme solo Surf.
Tornadus: Jirachi di nuovo batte tutte le versioni speciali (e per il Bulkupper cè Skarmory) Heatran teme solo qualche Focus blast di tanto in tanto.
Toxicroak: Stesso discorso di Lucario, solo che Skarmory a piu possibilità di resistere a Cross chop, inoltre è piu raro da trovare, gli altri set di Toxicroak sono piu facili da contenere.
Gengar: Ormai la maggior parte dei set sono Subsplitter, e Jirachi li countera tutti, anche quelli con Disable grazie a Fire punch+Iron Head.

Non scordiamoci che ho comunque altri 2 steel, e Latias può koare cbnite dopo i danni delle sr. Per i set sotto rain di Dragonite (Surf, Hurricane, Thunder, ect) solitamente Gastrodon o Jirachi sono switch-in decenti soprattutto Gastrodon che avendo anche ibeam puo shottare senza problemi Dragonite.
Ferrothorn: Heatran è uno sure counter, ho anche lo spinner quindi le sue spikes non mi toccano più di tanto. Non può fare nulla a Skarmory, che può settare le proprie Spikes, alla lunga perde l'1vs1 contro Starmie grazie a Reflect type e il burn di Scald.
Heatran: Starmie, Gastrodon, Latias sono tutti buoni switch-in. Solitamente preferisco Starmie per la possibilità che setti le Sr o che mi possa burnare/toxicare. In generale non avendo recovery muore dai danni delle spikes :x
Landorus: il mio switch-in piu solido è Skarm che nerfa le versioni scarf con U-turn. Altre versioni che possono dare fastidio sono quella con Smack down, ma solitamente gli Smack downer non hanno U-turn, quindi a quel punto Latias diventa un altro buon check (tralasciando le versioni Ebelt..). Latias e Starmie inoltre lo superano e gli fanno abbastanza male :x Ah si mi ero scordato anche Gastrodon è un ottimo check, Landorus con Sand force attivata ha qualcosa come il 15% di possibilità di fare 2ko con le sr, mentre ibeam lo shotta :P
Gliscor: Skarmory lo walla e lo usa come setupbait. Alcuni Gliscor hanno Taunt però, quindi a quel punto mando Gastrodon/Starmie/Latias a intimidirlo.
Rotom-W: Gastrodon lo blocca, certo Rotom ha Trick e Will-o-wisp, ma anche trickato o burnato Gastrodon walla sempre Rotom. Latias resiste alle sue stab inoltre, e posso toxicarlo in predict con Gastrodon e Heatran.
Scizor: Essendo il pike piu forte in Ou ci sono andato giù pesante con questo team. Scizor ha principalmente due set, Cb e Sword dancer. Il Cbzor è stoppato al 100% da Skarmory, che con Rocky Helmet gli infligge 17% a colpo ( :P ) Heatran teme solo Superpower in predict, Gastrodon si prende meno del 50% da u-turn, idem Jirachi che ha pure Fire punch, senza contare che non può pursuittare/u-turnare Starmie grazie a Reflect type. Lo Sword dancer invece potrebbe causare magari qualche problema in più a Skarm e Heatran con Superpower ma non scordiamoci che Jirachi ha Fire punch e sorpassa qualsiasi Scizor :P
Terrakion: mmm quando dicevo che Scizor era il pike piu forte in Ou mi ero scordato di Terrakion. :/ Passiamo ai "semi-check" di Terrakion . Principalmente ha 3 set, Il Double Booster, il Cb e lo Scarf. Dunque, il Double Booster generalmente non farà Rock polish ma Sword dance, per la presenza di Skarm,che se ha ancora buona parte degli hp puo phazarlo, e se non ci riesce a quel punto Starmie o Latias possono fargli male dopo il drop di Close Combat. Per il Choice Band dipende tutto dalle predict, anche se ho due pokemon che resistono a lotta e due a roccia, che una volta dentro possono tutti far male a Terrakion (se l'avversario non switcha, chiaro). Per lo Scarf stesso discorso del Cb, solo che si rivela molto piu facile da contenere. (so che non è molto ma non è che si possa fare molto di meglio contro Terrakion, che tra i vari Gimmick come Babiry Berry e Rock Gem ride in faccia ai suoi check)
Volcarona: Heatran walla le Stab e lo phaza facendogli prendere i danni delle sr di nuovo... e se ha hp ground, allora non ha rest e la chesto il che lo rende suscettibile ancor di piu alle hazard.
Breloom: Counter di Breloom oltre a Gliscor e Xatu non credo ce ne siano... Credo di dovermi far sporare qualcuno e poi mandare Latias, e anche Skarm credo possa fare qualcosa.
Salamence: Meno male che usano molto più Dragonite che è semi-wallato da Skarmory.. questo team come qualsiasi team che non abbia Porygon-2 credo possa fare poco contro il mixed con Fire blast DD Eq e Outrage.. Dunque Latias lo supera prima delle danze, Gastrodon dovrebbe resistere a un Outrage per poi usare ice beam (Outrage orbed da naive Salamence fa al massimo 99% a Gastrodon) e a quel punto posso provare a fare qualcosa con gli steel che ho nel team.
Reuniclus: Ho sempre odiato questo Pokemon per la sua capacità di distruggere lo stall :x In questo team però siccome ho Latias che stoppa tutti i Cminder e Jirachi che stoppa tutti i Troomer (e anche qualche Cminder magari) non ho nulla da temere :P
Jirachi: difficile dirlo, dipende dal set. Heatran ha buone possibilità di switch-in sui set simili al mio, cosi come Gastrodon, idem Skarmory (apparte quelli sotto rain che hanno Thunder) Starmie può usare Reflect type e prendere danni decenti da Body slam e Iron head, poi esistono tutti i gimmick come Drain punch e Energy ball, quindi devo ricorrere a piu pokemon, ma questo è dovuto al fatto che ha un movepool troppo ampio per essere counterato con un solo pike :x
Celebi: Latias prende bene tutte le mosse standard di Celebi (Giga Drain, Hp fire, Psichic, Earthpower) stessa cosa per Heatran tranne epower.
Haxorus: "check di Haxorus"... Ovviamente mando sempre Skarmory che con Rocky Elmet ha buone probabilità di vincere l'1vs1... Se trovo lo Sword dancer con Taunt, mm mando Latias in revenge killing.
Lucario: Forse uno dei pike che ha più possibilità di aprirmi, Skarmory sopravvive a stento a un Close combat+2 orbed, anche se dopo il drop diventa molto più suscettibile a Brave bird, Starmie può fare qualcosa con Scald, anche se cè da dire che non ha grandi occasioni per setuppare contro questo team.
Latios: Jirachi lo batte in tutte le salse, Heatran teme solo Surf.
Tornadus: Jirachi di nuovo batte tutte le versioni speciali (e per il Bulkupper cè Skarmory) Heatran teme solo qualche Focus blast di tanto in tanto.
Toxicroak: Stesso discorso di Lucario, solo che Skarmory a piu possibilità di resistere a Cross chop, inoltre è piu raro da trovare, gli altri set di Toxicroak sono piu facili da contenere.
Gengar: Ormai la maggior parte dei set sono Subsplitter, e Jirachi li countera tutti, anche quelli con Disable grazie a Fire punch+Iron Head.
