Too Fast Too Furious [bW2/OU]







Introduzione:




L'idea di base è stata quella di usare un pokémon offensivo su cui basare un intero team, e dopo aver pensato ad Alakazam, la mia scelta è ricaduta su Nidoking. E' mitico. Chi non lo conosce perde intere partite perchè lo sottovaluta, e sottovaluta soprattutto l'incredibile varietà dei suoi attacchi. Insomma, come uno che affronta l'Udinese e non marca ad uomo Di Natale: è destinato alla sconfitta solo perchè reputa più pericolosi altri giocatori. La tattica è… In origine doveva essere quella di picchiare duro con Nidoking, però poi a forza di ricamarci sopra mi è venuto un team più portato per la difesa che per l’attacco. Chiariamoci, non che sia deluso, ma un team in stile picchiaduro sarebbe stato probabilmente più in sinergia con Nidoking, ma questa è la tattica che mi permette di resistere meglio all’everything spam di questo meta. Se ogni tanto troverete qualche termine calcistico, è perché ho scoperto che così alcune situazioni di battaglia sono più facili da esprimere.

Building Phase

L'idea è nata da dover basare il mio team su un pokémon originale, perciò ho scelto un pokémon potente ma rilegato tra gli UU, Nidoking, ancora troppo sottovalutato, un po' come Di Natale nell'Udinese: tutti sanno che è forte, ma chissà come mai non viene paragonato a Cavani o Vucinic.

Per supportarlo, ho pensato ad una tattica per paralizzare l'avversario, quindi ho inserito Uxie e Jirachi.

Ma come avrei fatto senza un secondo sweeper? Quindi ecco un altro UU, Honchkrow , semplice ma micidiale, perfetto per revengekillare Latios o Moxiemence, e tenere a galla l'attacco come fa una seconda punta di classe.

Ma ora, mi serviva un difensore roccioso, alla Chiellini, e ho scelto Forretress, più Physical Wall che spinner, in grado di battere con Gyro Ball i vari draghi scarfati, e mi aiuta piazzando le punte.

Mancava ancora un ultimo elemento: serviva qualcuno che desse stabilità al team, un centrocampista alla Marchisio, Vidal e simili che mantenesse alto il ritmo e il baricentro, senza far andare in difficoltà il team, che counterasse praticamente tutto, e quale pokémon è migliore in questo caso di quel pokémon con una sola debolezza, con 107 di difesa in entrambe le statistiche, con accesso a WoW e Pain Split come mosse difensive e l'ottimo Volt Switch per farsi cambiare, in grado di subire senza problemi un U-turn di Genesect e scegliere con cura il compagno con cui scambiarlo? E allora ecco rotom-water a dar sicurezza al team con entrate sicure contro Scizor e compagnia.

Di solito lo mando come lead, ma quando vedo che l'avversario ha un volturner mando Rotom-W perchè è più lento di tutti i suoi colleghi e incassa bene U-turn. L'ho preferito agli altri semi-leads (se così vogliamo chiamarli) perchè lui non è uno di quei pokémon che fa il suo lavoretto e crepa, no, lui aiuta anche i compagni con Heal Bell e Thunder Wave, un mediano alla Gattuso o Marchisio, da cui deriva il nome. La spread mi consente una buona difesa, e fa sì che un entrante Genesect boosti l'attacco fisico, così da prendere meno del 50% da U-turn. Mi capita molto spesso che, vedendolo, l'avversario mandi in campo Tyranitar, ma Uxie può resistere al suo Crunch e fargli un po' di danni con U-turn, dopo aver piazzato le rocce logicamente. Heal Bell > Psychic perchè avevo notato che uno dei modi per bloccarmi il team era avvelenare Rotom-W o burnare Jirachi, quindi entra lui a curarli.

Il team gira per lui, e lui fa girare il team, liberandolo da molte minacce. Ho preferito le tre mosse elementali a Sludge Bomb per la possibilità di colpire superefficaciemente più pokémon, mentre Sludge Bomb mi avrebbe al massimo permesso di colpire con lo STAB Rotom-W, ma mi sono trovato bene così. Viene molto aiutato dalla team preview, grazie alla quale posso capire quali sono i pokémon avversari che ne possono fermare lo sweep e paralizzarli/ scottarli/ mandarli KO prima che possano far danni. Oltre a Rotom-W pure Heatran mi da qualche problema se ha il palloncino, visto che se è timid mi outspeeda e devo perdere un turno per rompere il pallone: in questi casi diventa più facile mandare Rotom a incassare gli attacchi e far rompere a lui il pallone. I cosi scarfati qualche problemino me lo danno, ma il team è piuttosto difensivo proprio per assorbirne i colpi.

Ah, lui è onnipresente, è colui che influenza la partita anche senza scendere in campo, mantiene equilibrato il baricentro del team e ci mette una pezza dove serve contro gli avversari lanciati a rete. La spread è classica, e devo ammettere che a volte ho sofferto la mancanza di Substitute, ma alla fine ho reputato più importante WoW, anche solo per scottare gli avversari che entrano in campo a contrastarlo (Ferrothorn su tutti). So che questo pokémon abbasserà l'originalità del team (insieme a Jirachi), ma loro due sono il fulcro della mia tattica difensiva, visto che si coprono le spalle l'uno con l'altro.

Chi ha battlato con me qualche volta sa che IO ADORO LE ENTRY HAZARDS, in praticamente tutti i miei team ci sono sia SRock che Spikes, e dato che volevo che questo team mi rispecchiasse, le ho inserite pure qui. Proprio questo è stato il motivo che mi ha convinto a scegliere Forretress al posto di Tentacruel, oltre al fatto che il dragon spam fisico qualche problema me lo dava: dopo una DDance fa danni considerevoli a Dragonite (sperando che non abbia fuocopugno), ma di solito lo mando contro Moxiemence e, fino a quando era in prova (non so se lo sia ancora mentre sto scrivendo) anche contro Kyurem-B. Anche Ferrothorn è un ottimo pokémon contro cui mandarlo, visto che mi permette di piazzare le punte, così come Skarmory, visto che a differenza di questi ultimi due il mio Girogirotondo ha a disposizione Rapid Spin. Volt switch perchè... Ci stava bene, ecco, mi permette da uscire dal magnet pull di Magnezone se lo predicto bene, e comunque mi permette di fare qualche danno a Tentacruel che all'inizio nell' 1 vs 1 può darmi problemi. La evs spread è per renderlo un muro fisico, non misto, e più wall che spiker.

Come già detto, con un solo sweeper non avrei fatto molto e così... LUI! Spacca i Wall con Brave Bird (o con superpower se il wall in questione è di tipo acciaio e con Heat Wave per Skarmory e Forretress) o entra in revengekill su uno sweeper approfittandone per aumentare l'attacco con Moxie. Chi lo sottovaluta è destinato a perdere il match, peccato solo che ha ben poche speranze di resistere a Mach Punch di Techniloom o Bullet Punch di Scizor. Il set lo rende molto kamikaze, infatti di solito crepa dopo due-tre turni, più che sufficienti per fare molti danni però. Diciamo pure che il motivo per cui l'ho inserito è che lo volevo provare, ma se non mi avesse convinto non lo avrei tenuto.

Originalità abbassata, lo so, ma lui mi salva da un sacco di cose, ad iniziare da tutti quei Draco Meteor lanciati a muzzo. Poi è anche il mio wisher, il mio mixed wall (più walloso di Rotom-W) e ha anche tanti altri ruoli che non mi vengono in mente... Comunque è un tuttofare, che può fare a seconda delle situazioni da portiere a punta centrale a raccattapalle. Il set è piuttosto standard, ma almeno mi permette una buona probabilità di paralisi.




In conclusione…



Sono molto soddisfatto del team che ho ottenuto, ha una risposta a tantissimi tipi di minacce (se proprio voglioamo cercare l’ago nel pagliaio, i bulky water qualche problema me lo danno, anche se di solito riesco a spuntarla quasi indenne grazie a Rotom-W e Nidoking) e si aggira stabilmente oltre i 1100 punti nonostante abbia 3 UU e senza ricorrere ad alcun tipo di tattica spammosa. Si destreggia con tranquillità tra gli altri weatherless, regge contro i rain e picchia contro i sand. I sunny team non costituiscono un problema, sempre se non si mette di mezzo Venusaur, e allora lì non è facile, ma credo che tutti i team lo soffrano. Vi garantisco che è anche molto bello e divertente da giocare (in fondo c’è l’export) anche se all’inizio ci vuole un po’ di tempo per prenderci la mano. Non raramente capita di dover fare sacrifici azzardati, come negli scacchi, per riuscire a vincere (di solito se devo sacrificare qualcuno opto per Forretress, dopo che ha finito il suo compito, o Uxie, dopo che ha piazzato le rocce), e a chi mi dice che non posso fare nulla contro gli stat-upper... Bè in un certo senso è vero, ma giocandosela bene (e con Jirachi) si riesce comunque a resistere. Visto che sotto troverete solo più threat list, log ed export, è questo il momento per ringraziare i giudici, ma in particolare Umbreon91 e Mosq che hanno avuto la pazienza di rispondere a tutte le mie domande nabbose. Scizor: se è la versione CBanded, dopo averlo bloccato su una mossa favorevole con Forretress o aver scoutato con Jirachi, non è difficile per Nidoking o Honchkrow OHKOarlo con le loro mosse fuoco (anche se ho la quasi certezza dello switch, per questo di solito uso Brave Bird o EP), ma non bisogna dimenticare Jirachi, che con la sua ottima difesa incassa tutti i suoi attacchi (nonostante U-turn e Superpower facciano male). Se invece Scizor ha la LOrb, allora l'opzione migliore diventa Rotom-W, che regge bene i suoi colpi e lo può scottare.

Dragonite: Dragonite può essere tranquillamente outspeedato da Nidoking se non ha ancora fatto boost. In caso contrario, Forretress con Gyro Ball è l'opzione migliore, nonostante ci sia il rischio che sappia Fire Punch. Anche Jirachi e Rotom-W sono entrate di tranquillità, e Honchkrow in revengekill su Outrage fa male, molto male. Uxie con Stealth Rock è il modo perfetto per annullare Multiscale.

Genesect: una volta paralizzato con Jirachi o Uxie, è una pacchia per Nidoking (che prende meno del 50% dal suo Flamethrower e non viene OHKOato da Ice Beam) o Honchkrow, sennò Jirachi difende bene. Ah, e pure Rotom-W è ottimo, visto che al massimo si becca un Bug Buzz stabbato.

Heatran: Nidoking è un po' scontato, eh? Ad ogni modo, nel caso avesse il palloncino, Rotom-W ha Hydro Pump, Uxie lo può paralizzare, Honchkrow ha Superpower... Basta?

Jirachi: la mia tattica numero uno è... quella che tutti immaginate, ovvero 2HKOarlo con EP se è difensivo come il mio, sennò è OHKO, e comunque diventa quasi incapace di far danni se rimane scottato. Qualche problema di più me lo da' quello "acquatico", ma in un modo o nell'altro (dipende dai casi, alcune volte può anche bastare semplicemente Honchkrow che entra con Jirachi paralizzato) riesco a cavarmela.

Gliscor: contro Gliscor difensivo, dentro Nidoking per OHKOarlo con Ice Beam prima che possa fare qualcosa. Contro quello offensivo (anche se devo dire che il set SDance + Substitute non l'ho mai visto con l'avvento di BW2) Rotom-W può essere colpito solo da Ice Fang.

Breloom: ancora Nidoking... Lo so che lo sto mettendo dappertutto, ma ha una coverage contro praticamente tutto... E anche contro di lui, contro cui ha ben due mosse superefficaci. Ad ogni modo, Jirachi sarebbe perfetto se avesse Fire Punch, ma comunque è una buona scelta, visto che al massimo potrebbe subire dei Mach Punch che però non gli fanno molto. Ad ogni modo, visto che la nuova versione con Technician tiene la Life Orb, può essere paralizzato.

Salamence: scusate, ma stiamo parlando di quel pokémon che viene paralizzato senza problemi sia da Uxie che Jirachi, che viene OHKOato da Nidoking e 2HKOato da Forretress, scottato da Rotom-W e revengekillato da Honchkrow?

Rotom-Wash: ammetto che questo pokémon mi da' qualche problema, visto che non lo riesco a colpire superefficaciemente, alla fin fine la mia tattica consiste nel mandare il mio Rotom-Wash, così se vince il mio l'avversario sarà indebolito e quindi facile da mandare KO con altri pokémon, se invece ha la meglio il mio tanto meglio.

Gengar: anche qui, come per Jirachi acquatico, una tattica per abbatterlo vera e propria non ce l'ho, ma tra Nidoking, Honchkrow, Rotom-W e Gyro Ball di Forretress ho l'imbarazzo della scelta.

Terrakion: normalmente questo bestione è un osso duro, ma scottandolo o paralizzandolo diventa uno di quei cagnolini che ti grattano le scarpe quando li incontri per strada. Se si ha abbastanza coraggio per mandarlo KO anche in questo stato, è una passeggiata.

Keldeo: anche per lui, la paralisi è il miglior per neutralizzarlo, il problema è che il set classico prevede Substitute... Ad ogni modo, Jirachi incassa bene.

Tornadus-Therian: nessuno è al sicuro con lui in giro... Ma come tutti gli sweeper precedenti, una volta paralizzato non è un pericolo. La cosa che lo rende davvero insidioso però è U-turn, che gli permette di scappare contro Jirachi o Uxie, e devo dire che Jirachi è il solo vero counter che ho per lui insieme al Volt Switch di Rotom-W.

Thundurus-Therian: argh... No non nominatelo lui! Purtroppo sono costretto a inserirlo, e dico purtroppo perchè dopo un Nasty Plot non lo riesco veramente a fermare, quindi lo devo per forza bloccare prima che lo faccia. Jirachi è l'unico in grado di paralizzarlo, visto che Uxie si deve astenere dal suo ruolo.

Landorus: EQ qualche problema me lo da', ma basta il Sucker Punch di Honchkrow a calmare la sua sete di sweep. L'unica pecca è che Uxie non lo può paralizzare e mandando Jirachi rischio troppo. La cosa diventa più facile se è speciale (lo so che potrebbe sembrare strano ma ne ho visti non pochi su PO) visto che Jirachi riesce a resistere.

Mamoswine: devo ammettere che quando l'ho letto per la prima volta non riuscivo a capire perchè nella threat list ci fosse lui e non Kyurem, ma dopo averlo analizzato bene mi rendo conto che l'unico modo che ho per fermarlo è Rotom-W, con Hydro Pump. Se ha uno choice item ci sono anche altri modi per fermarlo, come il sempre ottimo Forretress con Gyro Ball o sacrificare un pokémon per bloccarlo su una mossa, come sacrificare Jirachi o Nidoking per poi far entrare Honchkrow.

Volcarona: fare notare che piazzo le rocce non basta, eh? E allora vi dico che ho fatto una scoperta fantastica: Uxie non viene OHKOato dal suo Bug Buzz! Quindi, lo paralizzo e poi sweepo. Semplice ma efficace.

Prima di analizzare le tattiche contro i weather, introduco dicendo che essendo il mio un team weatherless, mandare Politoed, Ninetales o Abomasnow è come giocare in 6 contro 5,5.

Politoed (Rain Team): come vedrete nel mio log (che ho messo per intero perchè era corto ed ogni parte è stata fondamentale) qui sotto solo Deoxys-D mi ha impedito di piazzare le rocce. Alla fine (evitando di considerare la nabbosità dell'avversario), che ha giudicato inutile Honchkrow si dovrà ricredere. Come vi ho già detto, qui sono stati fondamentali i sacrifici, visto che ho logorato Tornadus-T con la sua stessa LOrb (l'ho fatto apposta a mandare a morire Forretress, eh).

Tyranitar (Sand Team): Uxie può resistere al suo Crunch, e da lì usare SRock e U-turn per scapppare e avere un po' di vantaggio. Fatto ciò, la tattica è la stessa di quando si affronta un weatherless, facendo solo attenzione a Stoutland con Sand Rush.

Ninetales (Sun Team): quanto odio quel Venusaur!! Se non c'è lui, allora diventa facile battere i Sunny (anche se notato che qualche problema me lo da Heatran col pallone, se conosce Solar Beam e Fire Blast, visto che se Rotom-W o Uxie non sono a piena vita mi rompe tutto il team), mentre con lui che mette a nanna il team... Una possibilità è il revengekill con Sucker Punch, anche se il meglio è paralizzarlo.

Abomasnow (Hail Team): a parte quelo coso con le manine inutili, solo Mamo rappresenta un problema, ma neanche troppo visto che Rotom-W blocca sia le mosse Ghiaccio che EQ. Forse Jirachi potrebbe stallarmi, ma come ho già detto me la cavo.

Ogni volta che citi le funzionalità del tuo team ti limiti in una maniera davvero enorme. Quando inserisci OU non dovresti scrivere "ok mi abbassa il voto", ma "aiuta Nidoking a fare meglio il suo lavoro"! E in realtà copri alcuni threat meglio di quanto tu stesso abbia scritto nella threat list. La presentazione è carina, ma potevi impegnarti di più, il team è invece davvero valido e meritevole. Complimenti.

La strategia è ovvia, si basa su un counter system dei vari wall e picchiare duro con i due sweeper.

Honckrow purtroppo con il tuo set non è sfruttato, vista la weakness a rock ed al recoil della orb Roost è d'obbligo, avresti dovuto metterlo al posto di HWave; tutto sommato mi è piaciuto, bravo.

Presentazione non troppo elborata ma scorrevole.

Strategia interessante e buona analisi della Threat List. Sei consapevole di avere alcune carenze con certi tizi, cosa che un poco ti penalizza nel giudizio. La dipendenza da Nidoking è notevole ma d'altra parte hai buildato su di lui, quindi nulla da obiettare su ciò. Sul campo il team ha mantenuto le attese. I miss di Idropompa iniziale hanno indubbiamente influito sul proseguimento del match, ma hai utilizzato il tuo team molto bene. Squadra abbastanza originale pur ricorrendo a tre tizi (Rotom, Forretress e Jirachi) piuttosto standard. Presentazione gradevole pur con poca grafica e con l'EET contenente diverse righe vuote inutili. Qualche imprecisione grammaticale qua e là.
