[bW2 OU] Old Style Hail Stall



Introduzione

Se voi chiedeste ad un battler :- Perchè usare un Hail Team?: cosa vi risponderebbe? Beh, un BWer medio vi direbbe :- per usare Kyurem e spammare Blizzard arrandom!!- Mentre un battler un po più esperto, ma sempre BWer, vi direbbe :- perché la Hail è un ottimo antimetagame in OU.-… ed entrambi hanno ragione. Tuttavia, Kyurem è un Pokemon di 5° gen, e i weather sono diventati predominanti solo in BW, quindi in DPPt l’Hail per cosa la si usava? E come si sfruttava? La risposta è………. Hail Stallllll!!!

Il team che vi propongo per questo contest è un team che per molti sarà qualcosa di innovativo, mentre per molti altri è una cosa già vista e rivista… un Hail stall “DPPt Style” con il buon vecchio Walrein SubProtect. Niente Kyurem, niente antimetagame, questo team vuole dimostrare che nel tosto metagame BW2 Walrein e l’Hail stall hanno ancora spazio, e possono funzionare ancora come un tempo...

Obvious hail was obvious… chiaramente serviva abomasnow, a cui ho dato un set in grado di battere tutti gli altri Weather Changer.

Per aiutare lo stall di Walrein servivano le Toxic Spikes… tutti avrebbero inserito Tentacruel a questo punto, ma io ho preferito mettere Nidoqueen, dato che questo team deve essere simile a quelli di DPPt.. (ok scherzo, l’ho preferito perché countera meglio Terrakion, e perché puo phazare.)

Ovviamente servivano anche le altre hazards, e uno spinner, oltre che qualcuno che potesse evitare che venissi arato dal primo drago che passa… per le SR un classico SpDef Heatran, che è sempre utile con le sue resistenze, e countera benissimo i Sun Team a cui ogni Hail è debole, mentre per le Spikes e Rapid Spin, Forretress era una scelta praticamente obbligata…

A questo punto, l’ultimo Pokemon serviva più che altro come tappabuchi per le debolezze rimaste nel team, le quali erano Thundurus-T, Special Landorus, e Keldeo, oltre ai Sun Team. Inoltre, dato che nessuno dei miei Pokemon aveva una mossa di recovery, un Wisher era necessario. Tutte queste qualità sono racchiuse in Latias…

Pokemon: Beh, apparte l'ovvia Hail che serve a Walrein, come ho detto nella Building Phase, Obama è qui anche per eliminare i weather changer avversari e per fungere come Revengekiller. con una Choice Band può fare ciò.. per il resto, Aboma in se è un buon counter dei Water Types e anche un buon Lure... vediamo come:

Moveset: Ice Shard è la priority Killa Dragon, che mi permette di riprendere in mano la situazione in caso qualche Drago riesca a setuppare... torna anche utile contro i tre geni... Wood Hammer è una STAB veramente forte, che OHKOa i vari weather changer (sotto, i calcoli), Earthquake è per coverage sugli steel e per Shottare Ninetales e Heatran... Focus Punch è... è qualcosa di magnifico!!! immaginate di essere contro un Toed, che spaventato dal Wood Hammer maderà in campo uno steel per incassarlo... botto assicurato xD. inoltre mette sotto pressione l'avversario costringendolo ad usare mosse offensive per non prendere ancora... Figo, neh?

Evs e Natura: 252 in attacco con natura favorevole per il massimo powah, 84 in speed per outspeedare standard DefensiveToed e i 70 base speed senza evs... il resto va in bulk

Pokemon: diciamo che per un TSpiker in un Hail Team, chiunque avrebbe scelto Cruel... tuttavia, ho preferito Nidoqueen... l'ho preferito, oltre al fatto che questo team deve sembrare come gli Hail Stall di DPPt, perchè ha anche la resistenza a Rock, ergo, countera completamente Terrakion e un sacco di altri pokemon Fight e la difesa fisica è maggiore... inoltre, il suo movepool offensivo lo rende meno predictabile di Tenta, ed ha l'accesso a Roar, mossa utilissima per ogni Stall che si rispetti...

Moveset: Earthquake è la STAB del pokemon, che permette L'OHKO di terrakion, Fire Blast è stata inserita per killare l'SDScizor veloce e anche Ferrothorn e Forretress (prima usavo Blizzard, ma non mi era molto utile) le Toxic Spikes sono il motivo per l'inserimento del pokemon, ed aiutano Walrein a stallare e la vittoria della Weather War... Roar aiuta queste ultime a funzionare al meglio, oltre a phazare Bulk-Upper pericolosi (Conkeldurr su tutti)...

Evs e Natura: Dato che questo pokemon principalmente è fatto per assorbire mosse fisiche (Fight, Rock), ho dato la massima Physical Bulk con natura Relaxed per non inibire nessuna delle mosse offensive..

Pokemon: Questo è abbastanza classico... Heatran è un ottimo SRocker, grazie alle mille resistenze che permettono un set-up facile facile su molta gente.. inoltre aiuta il team nello spammare Status, dato che le TSpikes non sono affidabilissime, e countera bene un buon 70% dei Sun Team... il solito Tran insomma xD

Moveset: Lava Plume è la STAB preferita su un Pokemon difensivo, le burn sono utili soprattutto su Tentacruel, che non può essere Toxicato... Toxic è per i Bulky water che entrano su Heatran, oltre che per Latwins, Hydreigon, e altri pokemon volanti immuni alle TSpikes... Roar per phazare i CMinder e aiutare il logoramento con le Hazards, e ovviamente le SR...

Evs e Natura: la classica: max Special Bulk perchè deve incassare mosse speciali di solito, e 8 evs in Speed servono per outspeedare Bulk Up Breloom...

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers

Pokemon: a me Forretress non mi è mai piaciuto, l'ho sempre considerato un pokemon debole, che lascia Set-up facile all' avversario... quindi gli ho dato un set che cerca di ovviare al problema, senza intaccare il suo lavoro di Spinner e Spiker, anche se non lo risolve completamente... vabbè è già qualcosa xD.. devo dire che così non mi ha deluso, almeno questa volta...

Moveset: Gyro ball è la STAB migliore che si ritrova, in grado di killare Terrakion e qualche Clorophyll sweeper tipo Sawsbuck o Shiftry... Hidden Power [ice] è la soluzione perfetta per molti pokemon che Forretress può counterare, ma non fare nulla in ritorno: questi sono Salamence, Dragonite, Gliscor, Landorus, e perfino Breloom! Tutti 2HKOati (DNite con Multiscale rotta, ovvio) il resto è per il solito lavoro sporco di forretress, visto la grandissima debolezza alle Hazards...

Evs e Natura: 80 evs nello SpAtk, per i 2HKO sopracitati, il resto in Physical bulk, dato che lo mando sugli Outrage di solito...

Pokemon: in questo team Latias è, come dice Smogon, la "Glue of the team", dato che mi fornisce ulteriori resistenze a Fire, Water, Fight ecc. oltre a tappare qualche buco in fatto di debolezze... inoltre ricarica i pokemon del team, dato che nessuno ha metodi di recover...

Moveset: Moveset un pò strano XD psyshock è in primis per Keldeo e Terrakion e li OHKOa entrambi, mentre Surf è per Heatran e Landorus... Wish per curare se stesso e gli altri... Protect è veramente incredibile su questo pokemon, dato che oltre a ricaricarsi col wish e stallare, permette di vedere la mossa che fa CBZor e Tyranitar e regolarsi di conseguenza...

Evs e Natura: Max speed per outspeedare Keldeo e Terrakion, mentre il resto in HP per aumentare la Solidità generale del pokemon...

Trait: Ice Body

EVs: 232 HP / 252 SDef / 24 Spd

Pokemon: la star del team xD il suo vecchio Moveset funziona sempre da dio, (dopotutto, l'ha creato lui questa strategia xD)... inoltre è molto meglio di Gliscor, dato che la Hail non lo intacca, la sua STAB non è immunizzata da mezzo mondo, e non ha debolezze x4... veramente speldido, mi ha salvato molte volte!!

Moveset: Sub e Protect sono il cuore del set, che rendono Walrein incolpibile se alternate a dovere, Surf è una STAB molto buona, che ho preferito a Blizzard perchè colpisce meglio gli Steel, ed ha piu PP, mentre Toxic è per lavorare da solo, in caso le TSpikes non siano presenti...

Evs e Natura: 232 in HP servono per avere un numelo divisibile per 4 e 16 e resistere ai Seismic Toss, 252in SpDef perchè lo mando spesso sui Water, il resto in speed,

Scizor: La mia entrata principale è Nidoqueen, dato che può battere tutte le versioni, anche il SD veloce... il CBer è più facile, e possono entrarci comodamente anche Forretress e Heatran e setuppare (quest'ultimo deve fare attenzione al Superpower e a quelli più veloci.)

Dragonite: beh, dipende dalla mossa di coverage... se ha Fire punch, Heatran lo walla molto bene, ma non può fare molto in ritorno se non phazarlo o toxicarlo... Forretress countera alla perfezione tutti quelli senza Fire Punch. se ha sia Fire punch sia Earthquake, allora Aboma puo RKillarlo, oppure posso costringelo a lockarsi in Outrage con latias e mandare Forretress... le versione da Rain, invece sono Counterate da Heatran e Walrein.

Genesect: Heatran è il miglior Counter di qualunque Gene in assoluto, teme solo qualche ipotetica HP Ground... poi vabbè, sullo scarfer si tratta di predictare la mossa giusta, in particolar modo se è abbinato a Dugtrio (Heatran non deve entrare in questo caso)...

Heatran: Latias può entrare su di lui senza problemi e usare Surf, ma se è sotto Sun diventa problematico per via del Decrease in potenza, e deve fare attenzione contro quelli con Dragon Pulse o HP Ice... si può anche cercare di colpirlo in predict con Aboma..., comunque bisogna giocare bene contro questo pokemon, e soprattutto bisogna togliergli il Sole...

Jirachi: sul Paraflincher, Heatran e Nidoqueen sono due ottime entrate, e possono fargli male con le loro mosse... Heatran è anche un buon counter delle varie versioni CMer, resistendo la maggior parte delle loro mosse offensive, e può attaccarlo o phazarlo via.... anche qui, Aboma può cercare di colpirlo di predict...

Gliscor: Grazie all' HP Ice, Forretress diventa il miglior counter di qualunque Gliscor dai difensivi con Toxic Orb agli offensivi sotto Sand (salvo hax, in questo caso). in alternativa, Abomasnow è un Check ottimo, resiste all' Earthquake e 2HKOa con Ice Shard.

Breloom: purtroppo non ho uno Sleep assorber, quindi devo per forza farmi addormentare qualcuno, e poi mandare Latias a killarlo con Psyshock... anche forretress può fare qualcosa, ma deve essere a piena vita contro il Technician (il Toxic Orber invece lo countera senza problemi)

Salamence: al di fuori di Porygon2, questo pokemon non ha counter veri e propri, ergo, molto spesso mi troverò a doverlo revengekillare con Abomasnow... Forretress può fare qualcosa solo se si locka in Outrage, a quel punto è 2HKOato da HP Ice...

Rotom-Wash: Latias e Abomasnow assorbono le STAB senza problemi, ma il primo deve stare attento al Pursuiter a cui spesso è abbinato, mentre il secondo deve stare attento all' HP fire e al WoW... bisogna giocarsela oculatamente ed andare di predict....

Gengar: probabilmente è l'unico problema serio che questo team ha... Forretress e Heatran sono 2HKOati dal Blast, e Abomasnow fa il 50% con Ice Shard....di solito cerco di colpirlo in predict con Gyro Ball di Forretress, che lo Lura in campo... non è il massimo, sono proprio debole a Gengar.... ma mica esiste un team perfetto no? xD

Terrakion: Nidoqueen è IL COUNTER di qualunque fottuto Terrakion, Le STAB fanno poco e anche il Quake fallisce il 2HKO, inoltre può Phazare fuori i Boosted... in ritorno è OHKO da Earthquake... Latias puo Revengekillare con Psyshock, e anche Forretress può fare qualcosa se è a piu di metà vita

Keldeo: Latias può entrare e assorbire ogni mossa, e batte facilmente il CMer con Psyshock... è l'unica risposta chè ho, quindi cerco sempre di tenerla in vita il più possibile...

Tornadus-Therian: anche lui è problematico, dato che il mio flying resistor è Heatran, che può facilemte essere battuto da Superpower... quindi molto spesso dovrò revengekillarlo con Abomasnow.... anche Walrein può fare qualcosa, dato che non è 2HKOato dall' Hurricane...

Thundurus-Therian: Latias può assorbire ogni mossa senza problemi, ma in ritorno può perdere l'1 vs 1, soprattutto contro il Plotter... Abomasnow è un ottimo Check, puo entrare su tutto meno il Focus Blast e Shottare con la Shard...

Landorus: con tutta la roba che ha ricevuto con BW2 è diventato difficile counterarlo direttamente, bisogna prima Soutare il set e poi agire di conseguenza... il set fisico è gestito da Forretress, che può 2HKOare con HP Ice, mentre lo speciale è gestito da Latias, che ha Surf... in qualunque dei casi, Abomasnow puo revengekillare di Ice Shard...

Mamoswine: Forretress non è 2HKO da EQ e può fare male con Gyro ball... anche Abomasnow può far qualcosa se non hanno Superpower o Stone Edge, e anche latias se è a piena vita può incassare la priority e attaccare con Surf...

Volcarona: Heatran è il counter di tutti i volcarona senza HP Ground e può toxicarli o phazarli fuori... poi ovviamente, le SR :)

Politoed (Rain Team): per politoed in sè Abomasnow, Latias e pure Walrein sono ottime entrate, e possono rispettivamente OHKOarlo o Toxicarlo e killarlo coi danni residui...... questi pokemon sono molto buoni anche contro molti altri water Type, dipende da chi... e Toxicroak è counterato da Nidoqueen e Forretress... altri Threats sono spiegati sopra...

Tyranitar (Sand Team): eliminare Tyranitar non è difficile, Nidoqueen countera all'incirca tutti i set, stessa cosa per Forretress, che teme solo Fire Blast... inoltre, Abomasnow è un Lure di Tyranitar, dato che Wood Hammer non OHKOa senza la Band, e la gente, non aspettandosi il set, lo lascia in campo speranzoso di vincere l' 1 vs 1... se il Summoner è Hippowdon, Abomasnow, Forretress e Latias sono counter perfetti.. per il resto, gli sfruttatori della Sand sono tutti elencati già sopra... l'unico è Stoutland, che viene counterato da Forretress e Heatran,(facendo attenzione alla mossa superefficace)

Ninetales (Sun Team): i Sun sono problematici per qualunque Hail team, e questo non fa eccezione... Heatran è il mio counter principale, anche se ormai si è preparati ad affrontarlo... anche Latias li Countera bene, anche se con il io Set è un po più complicato. per NInetales, i due sopracitati sono ottime entrate, ma di solito cerco di lurarlo con Abomasnow e ucciderlo in predict con Earhquake... per quanto riguarda i Clorophyller, i fisici sono counterati da Forretress (e più o meno anche nidoqueen) mentre quelli speciali da Heatran.. e Abomasnow li Revengekilla con la Priority..

Abomasnow (Hail Team): beh, essendo il mio stesso team un Hail, non ho tanto da preoccuparmi per la tipologia in se, più che altro per Kyurem, che con l'aquisizione di Earth Power perde come Counter Heatran... di solito cerco di constringerlo alla meteor e poi mando Forretress... se non ha earth power, allora Heatran se la cava più che bene...

Un team davvero bellissimo! Trascende il concetto di Standard Hail Team e ricrea un'atmosfera che si era persa col cambio di generazione. I set sono molto originali e la presentazione ben curata (i miei occhi però soffrono per il cyan che hai usato OVUNQUE). Peccato che un po' perda in funzionalità, perché in una Weather era, la Hail è sicuramente quella che ha più svantaggi.

Team che come hai detto si rifà allo standard di DP, ma qui siamo in BW e non si trovano molto spesso team del genere.

E' indubbiamente un team piuttosto solido ma non impenetrabile, testandolo in ladder (in cui mi sono trovato contro il Mosq & Carlo, lol) ho notato che solo Heatran ha entrate su Tornadus-T, ed Heatran è uno di quei pokémon che prima o poi muoiono vista l'assenza di recovery move (non sempre riuscirai a wishpassare con Tias), in più con la presenza della Hail ti si annullano i lefty, quindi devi giocartela bene.

Per favorire la strategia di questo team ci avrei visto infinitamente bene un antispinner, ma comprendo il fatto che è sempre difficile inserirlo senza scombinare troppo il team.

Ho notato una leggera debolezza al volturning, nello specifico alla core Tyra - TomW - Gene che se giocata bene può darti parecchie noie.

Il team è indubbiamente ragionato e l'originalità è sopra la media.

Presentazione semplice ma dettagliata ed esauriente.

Alcune threats mi sono sembrate gestite « improvvisando » (imho), ma in effetti non è che si possa fare più di tanto. In ogni caso la strategia ed il comportamento da adottare nella stragrande meggioranza dei casi è ben delineato e sul campo ha mantenuto le attese. In buona parte è un team originale per b/w, 1 o 2 che sia. La presentazione mi è piacuta molto: Chiara, precisa, scorrevole e molto gradevole.
