Ecco a voi una delle mie tante squadre di Pokémon. Ho iniziato a buildare questo team partendo dal fatto che la maggior parte dei miei vecchi team perdevano contro i più forti. Perciò, volendo copiare la strategia avversaria e sfruttare il suo stesso team ho costruito, appunto, lo SfruttaTeam. Ho iniziato inserendo Ditto, in grado di copiare un Pokémon avversario, e Kingdra, che con Nuotovelox diventa un ottimo sweeper a sorpresa contro la rain avversaria, pensando: “Effettivamente la combinazione Piovischio-Nuotovelox nella stessa squadra è stata bandita, ma se l’avversario mette la pioggia per me io sono a posto!”. Ho continuato mettendo in campo Volcarona per i Sunteam e Landorus-Therian in qualità di leader e sweeper fisico (mi sarebbe piaciuto inserire Excadrill, ma purtroppo lui è bannato sia con che senza la Sandstorm). Dopodiché, passando ai Wall, ho optato per Ferrothorn e Tentacruel, che si sono rivelati entrambi utili ed efficienti. Buona lettura!

Personaggi ed interpreti

La mia strategia consiste, come ho già detto prima, di usare lo stesso team dell’avversario, sconfiggendolo con le sue stesse mani, perciò uso Landorus-T come leader principale per poi passare agli altri Pokémon. Ditto è il tuttofare del team, dato che può servire sia come revenge-killer per gli stat-upper sia come eventuale wall per indurre l’avversario a cambiare Pokémon, sia per copiare uno sweeper avversario e decimare il suo team. Gli altri due sweeper si rivelano utili sia con che senza la pioggia o il sole, anche se ovviamente sono avvantaggiati dalla condizione meteo avversaria. Kingdra è capace di resistere ad alcuni colpi e potenziarsi prima di fare danni e Volcarona si basa sulla stessa strategia. Poi viene Ferrothorn, il wall fisico, in grado di incassare parecchi colpi mentre ostacola l’avversario. Infine, ultimo ma non ultimo, viene Tentacruel, lo special wall, anch’esso in grado di logorare l’avversario prima di venire messo KO.

Leonearth

Landorus-T ♂ @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Intimidate

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- Earthquake

- Stone Edge

- Superpower

- U-turn

Ottimo leader, in grado di attaccare pesantemente già dal primo turno o di fare retromarcia per lasciare spazio ad un Pokémon adatto a fronteggiare l’avversario. Con l’attacco che si ritrova e il boost alla velocità dato dalla scarf riesce a fare molto male. Inoltre l’Abilità unita a U-turn permette di indebolire l’avversario e facilitare il compito di Ferrothorn, stallando.

Il soprannome l’ho scelto ispirandomi a Squall Leonhart, il protagonista del videogioco Final Fantasy VIII, storpiandolo per collegarmi al tipo Terra di Landorus-T.

Debolezze:

- Acqua (Kingdra, Tentacruel, Ferrothorn)

Cariddi

Kingdra ♂ @ Leftovers

Trait: Swift Swim

EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spd

Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

- Dragon Dance

- Outrage

- Waterfall

- Yawn

Physical Sweeper del team. In caso di pioggia si rivela veramente micidiale, grazie al raddoppiamento della Velocità dato da Swift Swim. Dragon Dance serve per aumentare l’Attacco e, in mancanza della rain, anche la Velocità. Yawn, anche se non lo usa nessuno, è un utile mossa per fregare l’avversario ed avere almeno un turno per danzare e potenziarsi. Gli Avanzi servono poiché il mostro marino deve poter resistere un turno per usare Yawn o DDance.

Ho scelto di chiamarlo come uno dei mostri mitologici che vivono nello Stretto di Messina. Cariddi è, infatti, in grado di creare vortici e correnti molto forti per poter fermare o distruggere le navi che passavano da quelle parti (e nell’antica Grecia il motivo delle correnti nello Stretto era spiegata proprio così). Analogamente Kingdra, almeno secondo il Pokédex, è in grado di generare correnti marine al solo sbadiglio, perciò il nome e la mossa Sbadiglio erano obbligatori per un Pokémon come lui.

Brisingr

Volcarona ♂ @ Leftovers

Trait: Flame Body

EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

- Quiver Dance

- Fiery Dance

- Bug Buzz

- Hurricane

Lui è lo Special Sweeper del team. Sia col sole che con la pioggia che a cielo aperto è in grado di dare il meglio di sé e fare il bello e il cattivo tempo. Approfitta degli switch avversari per danzare, dopodiché diventa infermabile. Anche qui gli Avanzi servono ad aumentare lo staying power della falena incendiaria, mentre Hurricane è per non restare sprovveduto in caso di pioggia.

Il soprannome l’ho scelto perché “Brisingr”, secondo l’antica lingua della saga dell’Eredità scritta da Christopher Paolini, vuol dire “Fuoco”.

Debolezze:

- Acqua (Tentacruel, Ferrothorn, Kingdra)

- Roccia (Ferrothorn, Landorus-T, Kingdra)

- Volante (Ferrothorn, Tentacruel, eventualmente Ditto)

UFO Robot

Ferrothorn ♂ @ Leftovers

Trait: Iron Barbs

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef

Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)

- Stealth Rock

- Thunder Wave

- Leech Seed

- Power Whip

Lui è il Physical Wall della squadra. È capace di entrare su molti attacchi avversari e neanche le mosse Lotta non STABbate gli fanno un OHKO se è a piena vita. È in grado di settare le rocce, paralizzare e seeddare l’avversario. Power Whip l’ho preferita a Gyro Ball per la possibilità di colpire i bulky water.

Il soprannome è collegato alla sua forma ed al fatto che è di tipo Acciaio e corrisponde al titolo di un Anime.

Debolezze:

- Fuoco (Kingdra, Tentacruel, eventualmente Ditto)

- Lotta (Tentacruel, Landorus-T, eventualmente Ditto)

Squidward

Tentacruel ♂ @ Black Sludge

Trait: Rain Dish

EVs: 252 HP / 144 SDef / 112 Spd

Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Substitute

- Rapid Spin

- Toxic

- Scald

Lui, Squidward, è lo Special Wall del team. Ha un’ottima Difesa Speciale e grazie a Black Sludge e Rain Dish recupera molti PS se piove. Rapid Spin serve soprattutto per preservare Volcarona e Landorus dalle Entry Hazards, Scald è per l’offensiva e la possibilità di scottare l’avversario e Substitute unito agli EVs in Velocità mi permettono di proteggermi dalla Spore di Breloom outspeedandolo. Ho preferito Toxic a Toxic Spikes perché queste per iperavvelenare impiegano due turni e possono essere assorbite e/o rimosse facilmente dallo spinner avversario.

Il soprannome è lo stesso di un personaggio della serie Spongebob, il quale ha anch’esso i tentacoli e il naso lungo e vive in acqua.

Debolezze:

- Elettro (Landorus-T, eventualmente Ditto, Ferrothorn)

- Terra (Landorus-T, Ferrothorn, eventualmente Ditto)

- Psico (Ferrothorn, eventualmente Ditto, Volcarona)

The Mirror

Ditto @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Imposter

EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd

Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)

- Transform

Lui è il mutaforma della squadra, capace di colpire l’avversario con le sue stesse armi. È utilissima la sua abilità Imposter che, quando entra in campo, gli permette di copiare non solo la specie Pokémon ma anche i cambiamenti di status, così da revenge-killare un sacco di stat-upper e sweeper scarfati e pericolosi. Grazie allo strumento agisce sempre e comunque prima dell’avversario (priority a parte) e riesce a fare grossi danni. Gli EVs e la Natura li ho impostati in quel modo sia per avere il massimo dei PS sia per restare comunque il più veloce se incontro altri Ditto.

L’ho chiamato The Mirror perché, grazie alla sua Abilità, diventa praticamente lo specchio dell’avversario.

Debolezze:

Tutte e nessuna contemporaneamente: trasformandosi di continuo è impossibile stabilire chi può difenderlo in caso di svantaggio, perciò bisogna regolarsi di conseguenza.

Lista Nera

Scizor: Posso benissimo usare Ditto per copiarlo e usare Superpower, ma Volcarona è una scelta ancora migliore grazie alla STAB e alla sua resistenza ai suoi attacchi;

Dragonite: Ditto può benissimo copiarlo e colpirlo con la STAB Drago, Ferrothorn può stallare, paralizzarlo e seeddarlo, Kingdra, se boostato dalla Dragodanza o dalla pioggia, può mandarlo giù e, se non ha il massimo dell’energia, Landorus-T può colpirlo con Pietrataglio. Se Ferrothorn riesce a mettere le rocce prima della sua entrata diventa tutto più facile;

Genesect: Con Volcarona faccio tanti danni e approfitto del suo U-turn per danzare e boostarmi, dato che nessuno lo usa con Tecnobotto Acqua. Altrimenti ci sono Ferrothorn e Tentacruel, anche se entrambi devono stare attenti rispettivamente a Focus Blast e a Thunder;

Heatran: Landorus-T si rivela ottimo per colpirlo duramente, altrimenti posso usare Ditto e attaccarlo con il suo stesso Earth Power. Neanche Kingdra è una cattiva scelta, mentre Tentacruel è un ottimo wall in caso di attacchi da parte sua (cercando di non farmi colpire da Earth Power);

Jirachi: Se è CMinder posso fregarlo con Ditto rubandogli i boost, ma Landorus-T lo supera comunque e gli fa tanto male. Neanche Volcarona è da sottovalutare, anche se potrebbe essere paralizzato dal Body Slam avversario e i suoi attacchi speciali sono ostacolati dal boost di Calm Mind;

Gliscor: Kingdra, specialmente con la pioggia, lo picchia davvero tanto. Landorus-T può intimidirlo e lasciare spazio a Ferrothorn, in quale è capace di stallare e seeddarlo. Altrimenti uso Ditto se proprio non ho scelta;

Breloom: Ferrothorn stalla la STAB erba e lo paralizza, ma soffre gli attacchi Lotta. Si può usare benissimo Volcarona contro di lui, o magari lo si addormenta con la sua stessa Spore usando Ditto e lo si mette fuori gioco;

Salamence: Landorus-T lo può intimidire e colpire con Stone Edge, altrimenti si può usare Kingdra. Ferrothorn è ottimo per stallare, ma spesso Salamence usa Fire Blast. Ditto può colpire duramente con la STAB Drago, copiando anche gli eventuali boost di Moxie;

Rotom-Wash: Landorus-T, se entra in predict, blocca Volt Switch e usa U-Turn, ma si può usare benissimo Ferrothorn. Se c’è il pericolo di Trick si può mandare Ditto o Kingdra;

Gengar: Ditto lo può benissimo copiare e fare fuori con Shadow Ball, altrimenti si manda Tentacruel per stallare (se non usa Thunderbolt) o Volcarona, resistente a molti dei suoi attacchi principali (Shadow Ball, HP Fire, Focus Blast, Thunderbolt);

Terrakion: Ditto lo può copiare e eliminarlo con il suo Close Combat, Landorus lo attacca con Terremoto, Kingdra (se già boostato) lo OHKOcca con la STAB Acqua. Ferrothorn non è in grado di stallare il Close Combat, ma se ha la Band o la Scarf ed è fermo su un’altra mossa non c’è pericolo;

Keldeo: Tentacruel lo stalla egregiamente, ma in mancanza di quest’ultimo si può sfruttare la rain che accompagna Keldeo mandando in campo Kingdra;

Tornadus-Therian: Tentacruel stalla l’Hurricane e resiste a Superpower. Non è comunque da scartare Kingdra, che può godere della pioggia di Tornadus;

Thundurus-Therian: Lui può essere stallato da Ferrothorn ma c’è il pericolo di Focus Blast. Volcarona potrebbe resistere ai suoi colpi e Landorus è capace di entrare su una sua STAB. Anche Ditto, attaccandolo con la sua stessa HP Ice, può fare la sua parte;

Landorus: Sinceramente Landorus forma incarnazione non l’ho mai incontrato, ma Ditto potrebbe entrare su un suo Earthquake e danneggiarlo, così come il mio Landorus-T;

Mamoswine: Ferrothorn può stallarlo se non corre il pericolo di Superpower (o se lo stesso Mamoswine ha l’Attacco troppo basso per via di quella mossa), altrimenti entra in gioco Landorus-T o Kingdra. Se non c’è pericolo di Stone Edge anche Volcarona può essere utile;

Volcarona: Landorus-T può outspeedarlo e oneshootarlo con Stone Edge a meno che non abbia danzato. Se ha danzato Ditto può copiargli i boost e batterlo. Sotto la pioggia anche Kingdra è ottimo, mentre Tentacruel è utile in ogni caso anche se, con un wall davanti, Volcarona nemico ne approfitterà per danzare;

Rain Team: Kingdra usa la stessa rain avversaria per superare chiunque e fare grossi danni. I Pokémon più usati nei Rain Team, come Tornadus-T e Thundurus-T, ho già spiegato come affrontarli. Se Kingdra è fermato da Ferrothorn o da un altro wall Acciaio elimino quest’ultimo con Volcarona e Landorus-T;

Sand Team: Landorus-T si rivela un ottimo lead per fare OHKO su Tyranitar, Stoutland e molti Pokémon che sfruttano la Sand senza ricevere danno. Ferrothorn diventa un wall ancora più forte se l’avversario si danneggia da solo, mentre con Ditto posso ritorcere contro i nemici i loro stessi attacchi. È un peccato non poter usare Excadrill, ma pazienza;

Sun Team: Landorus-T OHKOcca facilmente Ninetales, Volcarona usa il sole per potenziare la sua STAB Fuoco e Ditto copia Venusaur con Chlorophyll ritorcendolo contro il team nemico;

Hail Team: non mi è mai capitato di incontrarli mentre testavo il mio team e ne avrò visti a malapena uno o due con l’avvento della quinta generazione. Ma se mi capitassero davanti potrei colpire duramente con Landorus-T e Volcarona, mentre Ditto può copiare un eventuale Kyurem avversario e mandarlo fuori gioco con le sue STAB Drago.

Un team particolare che nasce con l'intento di sfruttare il Weather avversario (ma, lasciatelo dire, fallisce). Conosco questo tipo di team e mi rendo conto di quanto sia potente l'idea che c'è dietro ma di quanto sia inattuabile per l'enorme varietà di scelta. La threat list lascia un po' a desiderare, perché in molti casi ti sei arrampicato sugli specchi. Comunque presentato bene, originale, ci sono molte cose che devono essere apprezzate qui, bravo.

Parti dall'idea di mettere abuser del weather avversario, strategia che sulla carta sembra essere ottima ma che in realtà a volte (troppe) fa cilecca.

Alcuni set sono mediocri: Landorus adamant della scarf se ne fa poco visto che perde velocità per il revengekilling, kingdra era meglio farlo chesto rest così danzi e te ne freghi degli status e poi ti ricarichi, inoltre personalmente avrei fatto ferro e cruel al contrario, ossia tenta bold e ferro sassy.

A ditto mettigli ivs da hp ice così se copì landorus avversari puoi killarli.

Strategia interessante. Quel Landorus è una forza della natura. La Threat list è stata analizzata molto bene. Sul campo il team ha mantenuto le attese. Nonostante l'assenza della Scarf su Ditto è stato usato molto bene. Mi sarebbe piaciuto vedere un log con Ditto con la scarf, come da esposizione: perché non metterlo? Nel complesso, squadra abbastanza originale pur ricorrendo a tre tizi (Ferrothorn, Volcarona e Tentacruel) piuttosto standard. Anche Ditto è standard, ma è cosa scontata. La presentazione mi è piaciuta molto. Chiara, precisa, scorrevole e molto gradevole.
